Sprint force-velocity profile

Choose the distances you measured, enter the times, and the tool fits the mono-exponential model: maximal velocity, time constant and acceleration curve, and from there the horizontal force–velocity profile — F0, V0, Pmax and mechanical effectiveness — with the residual of every split.

At least three splits are needed, and a final distance of at least 30 metres. The calculations happen in your browser: the data are not sent anywhere.

The distances can be anything, irregular ones included: what matters is the times attached to them. Empty rows are ignored.

With mass and stature the tool also derives the horizontal force–velocity profile (Samozino's method). Without them, it returns the curve only.

Temperature, pressure and wind are only used for air resistance: leave them empty and 20 °C, 1013 hPa and no wind are assumed.

Calculation

Enter at least three splits, with the last at 30 metres or beyond.
The further the measurement reaches, the more maximal velocity is measured rather than extrapolated.

The curve is half the work: the other half is measuring it well in the field. Photocell testing on your squad and a reading of the results with the coach.
